“God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
Given a unique “gift” at birth, which others would call a deformity (or curse), Elise discovered that this gift opened her to the realm of the Spirit and not of the flesh.
Born and raised in Seattle, WA, she moved to San Diego in 2005. With a BA degree in Communications from Washington State University in 1980, she worked in the corporate world as a software trainer in Human Resources for a large Fortune 100 Company. Not fulfilled in this career, she felt a “calling” to the field of education. Receiving a Montessori Education Certification from the Jesuit institution of Seattle University in 1987, she began her twenty year career as a Montessori teacher.
As a cradle Catholic, Elise Botch has served the Catholic Church as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Catechist, and a member of a Healing Prayer Ministry. She also has been involved in the Charismatic Movement for 35 years. Additionally, she’s a marathoner and triathlete and has just completed her 38th marathon in her athletic endeavors.
She will give witness that her physical, mental, and spiritual growth as a woman of God has been a faith journey embraced by the love of Our Blessed Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of her Son, Jesus. Come to hear her inspiring and uplifting story.
